Wow! Thank you very much for the information and the promptness. I think you answered all my questions, I'm going to try some of your ideas. I've used Quickbooks for years but that's like taking a sledge hammer to drive a thumb tack in the wall. I don't need all that stuff and I still had to create a database in another program. The only thing I used it for was to see how much was owed and how much was paid. Your software is definitely the way to go.

I was using Quicken to track payments and lessons taught. I customized the reports to my needs and it seemed to work well, but it only covered the accounting aspect of private teaching.

I also found a couple of other programs on the web that are designed for private lesson teachers, but they still didn't fit the bill. Because I teach at different schools with different bell schedules, at odd times and sometimes on different days, most of these programs just don't cover everything I need.

Your software has it all pretty much covered.

I'm teaching 55 students a week now and I could never keep up with them if it weren't for your software. I especially like the scholarship billing function - it used to take me close to an hour to type out all the detail for submission to the school district. Now PLSoft generates the payment request. All I have to do is email it! This is definitely the best software out there for private music teachers.
